Councillors and the Mayor of Noosa Council are elected for four year terms with elections being held in leap years.

The Mayor is the leader of the Council, responsible for ensuring that Council’s policies and decisions are implemented.

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for implementing the Council’s policies and decisions and for the management of the day-to-day affairs of Council.
