Contribute to the Noosaville Foreshore Infrastructure Master Plan - Have Your Say survey now open!

Noosa Council is currently developing an Infrastructure Master Plan for the much-loved Noosaville foreshore, see map below.

This beautiful recreation area, nestled along the Noosa River, is a cherished space for locals, tourists, and the Kabi Kabi Peoples who maintain deep cultural connections with the Noosa River. It's a hub for diverse activities like walking, cycling, swimming, rowing and yachting, fishing, picnics, shopping, and dining, with access to ferry stops and boat rentals.

Our existing infrastructure along the foreshore is aging and the facilities need upgrading and infrastructure planning will need to consider the community’s diverse needs and growth, cultural heritage, plus climate change impacts such as increased heatwaves, river flooding, sea level rise and storm tide inundation as identified in the Coastal Hazards Adaptation Plan and Climate Change Response Plan.

To tackle these challenges, we're developing an Infrastructure Master Plan, encompassing site analysis, concept design, infrastructure assessment, design options and cost estimates.

Our existing Noosaville Foreshore Management Plan has also provided the basis to inform our future infrastructure planning for the precinct.

Your experience, local knowledge and expertise are essential for creating a comprehensive plan that addresses our community’s aspirations and needs, helping us to form the future direction of this important area.

How can I get involved?

From 23 October to 20 November, we’re inviting all Noosa Shire residents and visitors to Have Your Say by completing a brief survey.
