One of our members who lives in Shorehaven Drive (Riverbreeze end) has advised us that they were the victims of a home invasion on Monday night. I believe this may have not been the only home invasion that night. Thankfully no one was injured and no vehicles were stolen in this case, but the perpetrators were on the premises for some time going through cupboards and drawers, looking for keys and valuables until their dog sounded the alarm and they fled.
These perpetrators were not juveniles. They were likely to be in their thirties and appeared to be seasoned veterans.
Our member wants me to advise you to be on the lookout for the possibility of someone casing your property, either from the road or canal (he believes the latter may have been the case for them).
It is so easy to become complacent, particularly when the crime statistics show that there has been very little criminal activity in Noosa Waters over the last couple of months, but these people are opportunists who prey on the complacent!
