Dear Members,
I'm sure you are all aware there have been ongoing discussions with Council over the redevelopment of the fountain at the entry to Noosa Waters.
At our Annual General Meeting in November 2022, members voted unanimously for the fountain to be replaced with a landscaped garden area and entry statement signage. This resulted after consideration of the allocated budget and the ongoing maintenance and costs associated with a fountain.
A sub-group of Committee members then met with Council (meeting notes below) and Council agreed to have the initial artist impression and a rough schedule of works to NWRA prior to Christmas.
The initial concept is below for your review (note there are multiple pages). NWRA members can provide feedback on this proposed concept by emailing us at info@nwra.com.au
Kind regards,
Neale Bertram

It will be nice if you could spread some more trees around , especially along the entry to Mermaid.
Any news on the derelict jetty? There was talk about it being removed.
Thanks
I like the inclusion of the flame tree and the Golden Penda. Overall the design looks great, a lot more modern and hopefully low maintenance.
Its a shame the fountain is going, but I can understand why. Didn't the fountain use to help with the water turnover in Noosa Waters?
The plans looks good, and a bench would be nice. Whatever goes in needs to be low maintenance.
Thanks to the NWRA for all the work you do on our behalf.
Would like to have seen a bench incorporated. Perhaps could still be included by canal.
