Representatives from the NWRA Committee met with one of the Council's project officers on site last Wednesday to get an update on the long awaited entry statement project.
In brief, the scope of the project has not changed significantly from the one endorsed at the 2022 NWRA AGM. This involves the removal of the existing fountain and surrounding concrete apron and replacing this with a landscaped garden area and blade wall which will include the Noosa Waters signage (in keeping with existing entry signs).
In a followup email after the site meeting, the Council project officer identified the following timeframes for the project:
Project is currently in procurement phase
Council is aiming to award the contract by mid-April
Construction should commence in early May with expected completion by late May.
