One of our NWRA members witnessed a group of 4 teenagers (around 15 - 17 years old) checking car doors as they moved down Seacove Court just after midnight last night. He became aware when they rang his entry doorbell a couple of times, probably to check if anyone was home. He called 000 and reported that police were on the scene within minutes. He hasn't heard if the police caught up with them.
Many of these crimes are opportunistic and only occur because cars, gates and garage doors are left unlocked. Make a habit of always checking your vehicles and exterior and internal garage doors, particularly before you retire for the evening.
